Adam Bartz currently serves as the Director of the Kennedy Fund, carrying out the philanthropic and community organizing interests of the Washington State Senate Democratic Caucus. In that role, his work has been focused on partnering with local community organizations across Washington State on BIPOC civic engagement and empowerment, including convening several roundtable meetings to coordinate the work of Central Washington non-profit organizations that empower Latino and Indigenous communities to ensure that their government is working for them.
Adam has been a dedicated volunteer for numerous Seattle area child-focused organizations including as a coach with Rainier District Little League, serving on the Dearborn Park PTA Financial Review Committee and Budget Committee, a parent leader with Scouting America Troop 007, and a tutor with Catholic Community Services Youth Tutoring Program. In addition to serving on the CCF Board, Adam also serves on the Board of Peace Peloton, a Seattle-based non-profit dedicated to supporting Black-owned businesses and Black entrepreneurs.
A lifelong Washingtonian, Adam was born and raised in Yakima, moving to the west side of the State to attend the University of Washington. He lives in South Seattle with his wife, Joan, their teenage son, Elliott, and Kelsey, the family pup. In his free time, Adam is obsessed with riding bikes and live music, and is a passionate fan of the Mariners, Storm, Seahawks, and Huskies.
