Janis Avery

Janis Avery has just launched Janis Avery Consulting after retiring from Treehouse in 2020. Her 24 year career at Treehouse focused on improving educational and life outcomes for children and youth experiencing foster care. With expertise in fund development, advocacy, organizational management and board partnerships, she is honored to bring her experience to the Board of the Children’s Campaign Fund. Janis’s career touched key parts of the child welfare continuum with stints in residential treatment and Intensive Family Preservation Services. She is committed to increasing racially diverse voices for children and their families in the legislature and focusing supports so children do not have to experience child welfare for their families to receive help.
