Kelli Hughes-Ham (LD-19) is an innovative thinker with a strong understanding of the intersecting issues impacting families across the state. 

As a teacher, Kelli has a deeper awareness than most candidates we've interviewed of the realities young people face today. We are grateful for her clear committment to policy changes and more substantive investments in mental health for students. As a member of the Chinook tribe, Kelli also understands the disproportionate impacts on indigenous youth within the child welfare and juvenile legal systems, and emphasizes the importance of working with tribes to provide solutions for their communities.
